I'm Daniel from Sweden. You are looking at my Mötley Crüe record collection. I've been a big Mötley Crüe fan since 1984. I even owned a Mötley Crüe t-shirt before I ever heard their music, -yeah it's true! I still remember where I heard Mötley Crüe for the first time. It was with my friend Mikael at a record store, we shared the same headphones and Live Wire hit us! I became a Mötley Crüe fan right away.
I started to collect Mötley Crüe records around 1986. It wasn't planed or anything. It all begun when I bought the Japan 7-inch single of Home Sweet Home. None of my friends had it so I was a very proud owner. I kinda had a competitor that had a couple off cool Mötley records, but Mötley Crüe was my band and I wanted the hole world to know that. I was young and didn't have any money but that didn't stop me from ordering Mötley Crüe records. Back in 1987 I took a job when I was on a spring break from school just to afford the Gilrs, Girls, Girls picture disc! My collection slowly started to grow, I was so proud of it. In 1989 I had to sell 18 of my most precious Mötley Crüe records to afford a drumset (I later switched to guitar), I was forming my first band. To this day, Some of the records that I sold I still haven't been able to find.
In 1998 I had this idea to put my collection up on internet but I didn't know how, the only thing I knew was that I was going to call it "THE MÖTLEY CRÜE MÜSEÜM". The idea was growing in the back of my mind and in 2002 I decided to really do this site. It was a learning by doing kinda thing, I guess it still is. All the work with this site really got me into collecting again and in 2004 I finally got my hands on the original "Stick To Your Guns/Toast Of The Town" single and that was a great feeling. At that point I didn't know that in less than 10 months I was going to meet Mötley Crüe at the Sweden Rock Festival, now that was unbelievable! To shake hands with Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee & Mick Mars and on top of that get a picture with me and the boys! I find no words for that.
From 1985-1991 Mötley Crüe was the biggest thing in my life and in 2005 they became even bigger!

After 21 years as a die hard Mötley Crüe fan I finally got to meet the band backstage at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 11, 2005.
2022 was the 20th Anniversary of The Mötley Crüe Müseüm (a.k.a. Moltey Museum), motleymuseum.com. Now it's over 20 years ago that I sat with a dial up modem and started the work with this site.
